Visiting Viking Sea at the Singapore Anchorage

A delegation of the OSM Singapore office, led by Simona Toma, Managing Director of OSM Asia and Captain/General Manager Ashwani Agarwal visited the Viking Sea vessel and its Ukrainian crew at the Singapore Anchorage on the 19th of April.

It was “a Leadership Engagement Visit” where the OSM Singapore shore team got to know each other with the Ukrainian crew and captain of the vessel. This gave the opportunity to the engaged parties to discuss the current situation in their homeland, which is devastating and saddens everybody in the OSM family.

Simona Toma, following her visit with the captain and the crew of Viking Sea, would like to state publicly that “it was a pleasure to meet all of you on board. We had the opportunity to discuss in detail the situation in Ukraine, all your families back home, and your current plans and needs. We’re glad to note that, so far, all is in good order, and all stays this way in the period to come”.

Simona assured the captain and crew of Viking Sea that “should you or any of the family members back in Ukraine (or in Europe) need support, please do not hesitate to reach out. We will do our best to support you”.

Despite the distractions of the war, Simona added that “we are glad to note that there is a good operational atmosphere and cooperation amongst the colleagues” and urged the crew to keep up the good teamwork they have onboard.

OSM stands by its people because, in OSM, it is all about people.
