OSM Wins Outstanding Employer of the Year Award

We are excited to announce that OSM Philippines have been awarded Outstanding Employer of the Year at this year’s NordCham Philippines Awards Night.

The annual NordCham Awards Night took place at the Fairmont Makati on March 21, 2018. Now in its fifth edition, the event gathered a record number of nominations for the awards which recognize prominent Nordic-affiliated companies who have significantly contributed to economic growth, employment generation, investment, and corporate social responsibility in the Philippines.

“The award categories reflect some of the fundamental values which have made Nordic countries model economies globally. Through the awards, we want to highlight Nordic companies who are living by these values in their operations in the Philippines. We congratulate the winners and finalists for their efforts in their respective categories”, said NordCham executive director Joona Selin.

OSMs Head of the Philippines, Mailyn Perena Borillo, welcomed the award for Outstanding Employer of the Year, “Receiving this award is truly a humbling experience.  I am so proud of what we have achieved together, this is a triumph for us all!”

This year’s event also featured a keynote message on “A Culture of Sustainability” by Jasmin F. Cruz from IKEA South East Asia, highlighting IKEA’s vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people and how economic, environmental, and social aspects align to create a positive impact on the planet and people.  A true match to OSMs own vision to be a long-term partner for our customers, a home for our people and an asset in society.

Following on from the recent announcement of OSMs participation with the UN Global Compact Initiative – this award exemplifies efforts put forward by OSMs #teambuilders to ensure its commitment to leaving a positive global impact.

A big thanks to the Nordcham Philippines Group, judges, contenders, and all of the sponsors for such an incredible evening.
