OSM ranks amongst Top Companies in Petrobras Excellence Program

OSM focus on quality pays off in Brazil

This past September, Brazilian multinational corporation, Petrobras released its Annual Operational Excellence Program, PEOTRAM.  Through PEOTRAM, Petrobras evaluates its suppliers to maintain their desired standard of quality and commitment to safety.

OSM scored an impressive 92.63% on the PEOTRAM, ranking amongst some of Brazil’s top companies. With this notable ranking OSM hopes to strengthen their position for future tenders.

About PEOTRAM

PEOTRAM is used for the Aerial and Maritime Transportation Industry to assess the quality and safety standards for offshore operations.  PEOTRAMs foundation has been built upon the requirements for the ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 18000, ISM Code, MLC, MARPOL and Brazilian norms and regulations.

The program requires both onshore and offshore audits for the vessels operated by OSM using OSMs EBN (Brazilian Shipping Company) Certification.  The winning result obtained for this past cycle can be attributed to a joint effort on behalf of OSM and leading Offshore Support Vessel provider, Swire Pacific Offshore.

“PEOTRAM serves as an opportunity for OSM Brasil to seek continuous improvement of its management systems, enabling our commitment to safety through a zero accident focus.  We have always worked intensively to guarantee the safety of the crew during our operations with Petrobras, so we are thrilled to see the results of our dedication recognized with such a high score on the PEOTRAM Program.  OSMs results were remarkable and we aim to improve even more during the 2016 cycle” – André Lima Operations and HSE Manager of OSM Brasil
