Nordic Medical Clinic, a leading healthcare provider in the Philippines, has announced a new partnership with OneCare Group, a premier well-being and healthcare platform. This collaboration aims to strengthen and enhance the holistic healthcare programs offered by both entities, focusing on seafarers’ comprehensive health and well-being.
Leveraging the strengths of both companies, the partnership will extend the 360-degree healthcare services that OneCare Group is known for, including well-being support services and training programs. Future plans include the integration of their digital platforms, utilizing advanced technology to predict chronic diseases, enhancing preventative care, and promoting early diagnosis.
Nordic Medical Clinic will bring its expertise in Pre-Employment Medical Examinations (PEME) and healthcare programs to the partnership, providing these services to OCG’s clients in the Philippines. In return, OneCare Group will offer its extensive medical and mental health support through its subsidiaries, Mental Health Support Solutions and Marine Medical Solutions. This includes 24/7 access to an experienced medical team, a helpline staffed by trained maritime psychologists, and comprehensive nutrition programs.
Marinos Kokkinis, Managing Director at OneCare Group, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We are delighted to be partnering with Nordic Medical Clinic to provide seafarers with unparalleled health and well-being support. This partnership will enable us to offer enhanced PEMEs and healthcare programs, ensuring crews are in optimal health before they embark on their voyages.”
Additionally, Nordic Medical Clinic will benefit from OneCare’s medical and mental health support expertise, extending these services to its client base. OneCare’s 24/7 mental health helpline, which supports over 50 languages, will be particularly valuable for clients requiring regional and language-specific support.
Dr. Christian ‘Didoy’ Lubaton, Medical Director at Nordic Medical Clinic, commented: “Collaborating with OneCare will allow us to provide our clients with comprehensive access to well-being and mental health services and medical solutions from OneCare’s specialized teams. We are aligned with OneCare’s vision to revolutionize seafarers’ health and well-being, ensuring their health is prioritized even while working at sea.”
Looking ahead, both organizations envision integrating their digital ecosystems to enhance data interoperability, health analytics, and risk assessments. This will enable medical teams to create tailored health programs for seafarers, providing ongoing support while onboard and promoting a preventative approach to healthcare.
