Seafarer can now, free of charge, verify and confirm the authenticity of:

  1. Documents claiming to be Employment Offer or Selection confirmation for employment or placement onboard OSM Thome managed vessel
  2. Letters claiming to be issued by OSM Thome for Recruitment & placement or Visa Facilitation of seafarers
  3. Requests requiring disclosure of personal information on behalf of OSM Thome
  4. Any person claiming to be authorized representative of OSM Thome for recruitment & placement of seafarers

How it works?

Step 1: Call on our toll-free number 1800 123 680 300

Step 2: Select your preferred language and the correct IVR option

Step 3: You will be guided to reach the Seafarers verification page on our website

Step 4: Share your contact details and select what you want to verify or authenticate

Step 5: An authorized employee of OSM Thome will contact you within 48 hours to confirm and verify the authenticity of your document or offer of employment/selection.

fraudulent acts

Please be aware that certain individuals may approach you, by falsely presenting themselves as OSM Thome representative(s) or being affiliated with OSM Thome and offer fraudulent and fictitious job opportunities related to OSM Thome Group of Companies. They have been appropriating parts of our name “OSM Thome”, Company Logo etc. with the intent to defraud unsuspecting job seekers.

Under this false pretence, the impostors might try to gain access to your personal or privileged information or to acquire money or other valuables or to induce people to pay a fee for services related to recruitment, or training or a new role from you by offering fictitious employment opportunities or by claiming that they are contacting you on behalf of OSM Thome.

Please be aware that OSM Thome, and our official group companies and platforms, do not:

Send job offers from free email services like Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc.

Request money, fees or payment of any kind from prospective candidates for employment, or to apply to our company, or for the recruitment process (e.g. recruitment or training fee, etc.)

Request or require personal documents like bank account details, tax forms or credit card information as part of the recruitment process, before the candidate signs an engagement letter or an employment contract with OSM Thome.
